Maybe someone can help me out with this.... I am an owner op in Illinois and I just Illinois Base plates. I have Z plates so I can carry upto 80,000.

My question is I am looking to run Precast walls down from Wisconsin to Illinois. I would be running their trailers. Is there a permit I could get to be able to run up their and do this job or am I out of luck without apportioned plates? I’ve heard of something called a 72 hr permit but not sure if that would apply?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I may be mistaken, but the 72 hour permits were usually instead of Ifta(Fuel Tax)
MS was $25/72 hours with getting fuel in their state, $30 without fuel

You should be able to just get tagged for the states you want to run

Can call ask someone from IRP over DMV
    International Registration Plan, Inc.

Thank you. I don’t know why but something has me thinking the Wiscon doesn’t honor the 72 hour permits from Illinois. Anyone else heard of this.

I may be mistaken also. Again, pardon my ignorance on this matter.
