Hi, I'm from Las Vegas, and wanted to know some opinions about what's best in that area. I have 4 years of driving experience with Swift, Watkins Shepard, Hub Group, Schneider, and United Road who I'm with now, that pays bi-weekly. Who I'm considering is CFL, LTLService, Inc and Marten. I was briefly considering Knight, for a Vegas to Long beach, but with the pay shortage, and other issues, I've ruled them out.
IWX has a terminal in Kingman, AZ. They have an assortment of positions and types of runs, at least out of Springfield, MO. Heard they pay decent too. I looked into a shutttle run from Springfield to Kingman once but I live in STL and didn’t feel like commuting weekly on top of the time on the road. Kingman is a bit of distance from you but just thought I’d throw them out there...
Yes indeed Vegas to Kingman will also require you to cross the Dam to the south. They did put up the high bridge below the Dam however I hear birdies talking about security challenges on the dam thing. he he... (Pun intended)
Old Dominion Freight Line - 4550 E Cheyenne Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89115 Estes Express - 2303 Losee Rd, North Las Vegas, NV 89030 Oak Harbor Freight Lines - 4610 Donovan Way Ste B, N Las Vegas, NV 89081
Only 3 I ever consider those two and Walmart. Might consider Walmart too along with old dominion, and Estes express
What’s the problem with where your at now? Vegas is a consumer destination, more inbound than outbound. It is starting to change with all the new commercial construction going on.
Four years, five companies, and looking for another, just pick one, it probably does not matter. What gives with the others, none of them were satisfactory?
If you take 95 South to Interstate 40 and then head East you won't have to go over the dam bridge. It does add about 20 miles to the trip. But, I've driven that route lots of times and it is pretty good road. Most, but not all, of 95 South in that stretch is 4 lane. But, you do get stuck in some 2 lane stuff. ( I lived in Yuma, AZ for 20 plus years and my work had our regional offices in Boulder City. So, that is pretty familiar to me.)
