Times are tough everywhere right now. I wouldn't sign anything until you have a plan in place. That being said I am with Landstar and from what I have seen it is not bad. But it takes at least a few weeks to get on.

Me too (LS) - yes, takes 3-6 weeks to get up and running. I signed on February.

As Sawmill said - what's the plan?

Might wanna hold off on going new if you're a new O/O. It's tough now and even more you have to overcome the learning curve......... Not saying it's impossible but a high truck payment is tough being a newbie

I went new caz all the used trucks worth anything were almost as expensive as new truck. By the financing got finished and it was double for down payment compared to new truck. I went new caz this is only bill I have besides house bills. I paid my mortgage off when my parents passed away with the insurance money.

May I ask what the monthly payments are on the truck - and what freight are you pulling?
