I am owned $21 after filing IFTA fuel taxes. It shows me that I cannot get a refund. Only the value can be more than $0. Is that true? You only pay when you own. But when they own money to you, you get nothing? The website looks different a bit in Illinois. Anyone having any issues?
Hmm... something is wrong usually get a check when you’re owed. Lately I’ve owed them money, but run a lot of KS and their fuel is crazy, so I get mostly MO, some in home state, but I don’t go by states, I go by price, so I send them 20-35$, I may have saved .40-.70/gallon per 3 months
Some states hold any credit due to you and apply it to any amount owed on the next quarter. At the end of the year if you still have a credit due, they will issue you a check. By “some states” I mean the state you are based out of, not individual states.
I get a refund each quarter if we run any Wyoming. Despite the pump price being usually less in Wyoming, the actual cost for a gallon of fuel is usually cheaper after factoring in the difference is state fuel tax.
After each quarterly filing, If you are owed money by IFTA, Illinois sends you a check. It happened to me on a few occasions.
Arkansas owed me but kept it in a “credit” or escrow. The next qtr I owed about that much so it evened out. The next qtr I focused on fuel prices more and ended owing about $85 in IFTA. Mainly for running in CA but buying fuel in OK, TX NM and AZ
Did you notice the site changed? So there are no additional steps needed like filling out the bank institution info, I presume.
