Hi All, I had a few issues yesterday coming back home. The truck was losing power then regaining power, then the message Check Transmission at next stop appeared. I pull aside and start to drive and the problem occurs again 5 minutes later. It seems that I lose the pedal. I changed my clutch last year. The truck has 700k miles on it. The computer says it is a Input Shaft speed sensor. But I removed it and drove, and it still gave the problem. Any clues?

If you replaced it then, Trace the wire from it looking for rubbed raw spots, if not buy a new part and replace it??

I just replaced the Clutch and Cylinder, not the Transmission

The sensor is the speed sensor at rear of trans. before yoke, that is what i thought you may have removed it and then put it back? buy a new one.

but would that cause the truck to lose power and loose the pedal at times?

If it's the input shaft speed sensor, it has to be near the front. Since these auto-boxes float shift, they have to know the rpms of the input and output shafts so it can time the shift. I have a Mack with an mDrive that is in the shop now that has an input shaft sensor fault code(among NUMEROUS other transmission fault codes), only mine is doing something totally different...will be interested in seeing what the fix is for yours...I only have 340k on mine and it's been totally worthless, I wouldn't have believed a transmission in one of these Swedish Dogs lasting to 700k+ like yours.

I know people who have had these for 1 million, Mine is a 2012 Ishift and it has been pretty good to me. I am thinking of swapping it with a Volvo Reman Ishift if the repair is going to be costly.

Yeah all our trucks have the I- shift and all have had to of been checked and replaced if it happens when you first start it you can't put the thing in gear i've found you've got to switch off the engine wait 30 seconds then switch off the isolation switch then after about 1 minute switch the power back on the see if the check transmission light is still coming on.

I can guarantee mine won't last that long. It misses more shifts in a week than I have missed in my career...after 3 tries, it just jams it in like a Swift trainee. I guess there really is a difference between Volvo and Mack as far as the quality of the products.
