I got a buddy who has his own truck and was asking me if I know anything about the Mudflap App. Well I don’t but I bet some of you on here do. I did a bare bones bit of research. It sounds good enough, is it legit and the discounts worth it or what’s the caveat?
This is my purchase earlier today. 4.99 pump price, my price with mudflap 4.39. I have been using it since April last year. I got a email from them at the end of the year telling me that I saved almost $3500.00 using it between 2 trucks. Some discounts aren't that much, Some are more.
I downloaded it, seems like everywhere I run you'd be lucky to save 20 cents a gallon. Maybe it increases if you start actually using it.
Right now NASTC and TCS are giving the best discounts from what I’ve seen. NASTC has a yearly fee and if you don’t attend a sales pitch, then there’s a monthly fee also. TCS is basically the same discounts without the membership fees, but Monday they start to charge $2.95 transfer fee to use zelle. I fueled up for $3.99 today with TCS. Closest mudflap was $4.76
Thanks for everyone’s responses this has helped. Now I guess my other question is and forgive my ignorance, is it like GasBuddy where it’ll show your location and then bring up the cheapest fuel around you? And that’s how you got the savings because you sought out the cheapest fuel. Or is it designed where only the discounts are given because you physically used the app in partnership with the participating locations? If that makes any sense how I’m trying to say it.
Only complaint I’ve heard on Mudflap. They want too much of the Op’s information. Guys didn’t want to give that much info out.
I signed up a couple years ago but have never used it TSD logistics always seems to have a better rate where I am
