Quantix is what was A&R. They also bought another liquid company something express in NJ and then bought RJ’s last year. I believe they bought the company in NJ because they had 3 transload facilities, I just can’t remember what the company name is.
UPDATE: Quantix Acquires Mid-States Packaging "This next chapter for Mid-States looks bright, and we're glad to have found a company that aligns so strongly with our mission and values," commented Tracy Harpin, CEO of Mid-States. "Being part of Quantix's continued leadership in the dry bulk market is going to be incredibly rewarding for our team." FMI: Quantix Acquires Mid-States Packaging ------------------ BTW, Quantix is also hiring all around our USA! FMI: Quantix, Inc -
When investor groups buy trucking companies it is NEVER a good thing. Look for it to be sold again in the near future. When 5-10yrs??? They will buy, build the company up and dump it at a very large profit.
In South Texas Mid-States Packaging has a big contract with Formosa Plastics in Point Comfort. A & R had it before Mid-States Packaging.
IIRC A&R became Quantiz awhile back. So by purchasing Mid-States it looks like they got that old contract back.
I saw a large ride for Quantix today. A light blue 389 all lit up pulling a pneumatic. Looked really good.
They're the new Kenan fleet, basically. Recently interviewed with both, wasn't terribly impressed with they had to offer. Quantix is just buying up small/medium sized fleets and doing their best to squeeze the last remaining good trucking jobs into profit for them. A&H, in Ashtabula Ohio sold to them, where I live/lived. They used to offer fair wages, after Quantix bought them out, the pay plunged, as did the hiring requirements. Source- me. I interviewed with both. Back in 2015 they were offering decent miles, guaranteed weekends off, hotel's for 34's on that guarantee, safety bonuses, fuel mileage bonuses, banked PTO, holiday pay. After Quantix bought them. they raised the per mile pay slightly and did away with everything else I've just mentioned.
Bump… Any newer information on Quantix? I just applied to their Portland, Maine terminal and I’m wondering if there’s any new information about them. I’m content with my current situation, but I’d love to haul nothing but dry bulk. I currently pull dry bulk about 70% of the time. I have lost interest in liquid, container, dry van, etc.
Hello Northern Nomad, I've been working out if the South Portland Yard for the last nine months. Quantix is still in the process of switching things over from Mid-States Packaging. What do you want to know?
Hi! I’m just wondering how the overall culture is, pay, benefits, schedule, home time, etc. Do they still have the Poland Spring account? I am looking to do strictly dry bulk.
