If you were an experienced driver and were on probation it would be near impossible to find an outfit that would hire you, supposing that your probation allowed you to travel, I would say that it would probably take an act of congress to get you hired on somewhere if you are fresh out of school and on probation as well.
Probation doesn't mean one can't leave the state while working, such as trucking, as long as the probation officer OK's it. Plenty of companies will hire. Do the online application process to cover more companies more quickly. Google : truck driver jobs (fill out one application on each website) Also : careerbuilder.com gotruckers.com TruckJobSeekers.com westernexpress.com carolinacargo.com www.careersingear.com [spamming job site removed] www.cdldriverjobs.com CLICK HERE for a list of trucking companies that hire new drivers. OK, that should keep you busy for awhile & will probably find a good job. Best wishes.
A company that runs loads overweight, bald tires, expects you to front the money for fuel etc... Mikeeee
On probation depending on what it is for might preclude you from passing a background check so haz mat would be out of the question. Any company hauling it would obviously not hire you. Also, you might also not be allowed to enter Canada so a company running cross border would also be out of bounds. You might need to be a little more specific as to what the probation is for.
Just be up front on the applications; except maybe for child support. Some companies won't hire if you're involved in child support disputes. Wouldn't mention that.
