Schneider national is a terrible company, they dont care about drivers health, if a driver like myself wants to get a checkup or a dentist appointment and the only available appointment are on early weekdays, the dbls wont approve the hometime, and theyre trying to only let drivers have 3 days off for 1 month out, and if you have to pay anything whatsoever out of pocket to get the job done, theyll tell you to file an expense reimbursment barcode and theyll pay you on for it with the load you submit it on ,but they never do and then they'll shrug it off like they dont know what your talking about, schneider persium program is a scam, they charge the driver like 10 percent of whatever they get you for perdium and then match the driver on less for the 401k and they promise that if you get audited, they have a department that will clear it up with the IRS, but they never do, if you get layed over, theyll try to get out of it and then give it to you but ##### you out and say you should of gotten it rwlayed off of you, but when you picked it up youve told them already and they agreed to pay you layover from the beginning, theyl send you back to the shipper for an overweight rework, and ask for the overweight scale tickets so they can get paid for the time and miles, but only pay the driver for the miles and leave you assed out for all the detention pay the driver should get for all the time spent at the shipper. Theyll dispatch tou a load near a schneider drop lot, then tell you to go over to the schneider drop lot, which is just a lots, no amenidies, so you can wait for a load, then make you wait over 24 hours, and then say they dont pay layover for waiting at a schneider lot, even though theres no amenities, and if you move the truck to a nearby truckstop, they still wonr pay you layover ,its how they get out of it. Schneider prays on new inexperienced drivers that dont know anybetter so they can take advantage of the poor driver and not give a dam rather the driver still has enough money to send home to there family, as long as the loads get hauled and the company makes money ,then the company doesnt care.

sorry to hear that. Good luck with your next company. Try K&B Transportation out of South Sioux City, NE.

    Wow driver,
it’s time to leave that company(if not overdue)...
Try shooting a PM to @Chinatown-he’s our “resident trucking company guru”-he might be able to find you a company that is a lot better than the “Great Pumpkin”!!;)

It may have been a blessing in disguise. Sounds like the company screwed the OP over on detention pay and reimbursements (which some companies love to do even though you have verified receipts).

If layover pay is that big of a deal, then you're working for the wrong company
