I been driving for a while and never had to do a split reset. Here's my situation...I had a load that was supposed to deliver today but, after I loaded it the delivery date changed to tomorrow. Therefore I only logged 10 min off on duty time. If I go into the sleeper for 8 hrs how much drive time will I have? And what will my 14 hr clock look like

You'll have all the time minus what you used.

10 hrs 50 minutes if you had at least 2hrs off duty just prior to the 10 minutes on duty. 13hrs 50 min on the 14. if your on elog it makes it much easier to do the split

And once I spend about 2hrs at the customer I'll get the remainder of my time back...correct?

You'll only get back what wasn't used for the day,and your clock will tick down.

Say you drive 5 hrs,do a 8 hr sleeper berth you'll 6 hours of drive time. Then you drive 5 of those 6 than go 2 hours off duty, you'll get back 6 more drive hours but your 14 clock will count down.

I assumed you were at shipper with at least 2hrs off duty then logged 10 min On and will now be spending 8 in the sleeper at the shipper. If you leave and drive to customer (how long I don't know) and take 2 hrs off duty the only time you could possibly get back would be the original 10 min you logged on duty at the shipper. you will never get a full clock back using 8/2 split.

I can’t understand any of this.

I’m sorry. I consider myself of average intelligence.

I’ve never used this stupid math, and glad I haven’t had to yet.

I know when I’m tired and it’s time for bed.

I hope they one day simplify this crap.

Or you could simply not do a split.
If the new delivery time does not match with your driving hours and then taking a ten before delivery, simply tell them what time you can deliver it.

Personally, I will not do a split. I will get no sleep at all with that short of time to work with.

Or couldn't you edit that 10 min on duty to off duty? That's what I would do.
