Does anyone actually "truck" here ??? I know I rarely have time to pontificate on a internet forum. How does everyone else do it?

I squeeze some forum time in between my golf lesson and meeting with my financial team.

Those of us that dont "have" to run 16hrs a day, do it quite easily when we feel like it.
I am currently sat getting a part added to my truck, so that is my reasoning today.
After that, I haul oversize stuff so normally can't truck at night.

But what about the manicures and pedicures you are getting done all the time?
It must be a challenge to get on here some days, surely?:biggrin_255:

My situation is a bit different from the typical OTR driver. I am considered local because I usually run around the home city a day or two a week with 3, 4 or 5 stops to load or unload a day. Generally speaking, it takes an hour to load or unload at each stop around town, I have that much time to occupy, so I do it online.
When I do run kinda regional, its usually within a 300 - 350 mile radius so, I am usually where I need to be in 4, 5 or 6 hours. On those days, sometimes it's all I do. Today for example, I am leaving home & driving to Mobile, Al which is only about 5 hrs. I am home all morning until I get ready to hit the road about 2 pm. I'll get to the Mobile area about 7:30 or so. My appointment time is 8 am tomorrow so I have plenty of time this morning & tonight to check out the site & participate.
Also, I'm usually off on weekends.... working M - F.

    Hope this helps :)

Smartphone, mifi laptop?? It's the 21st century. I pontificate here several times a day even when I'm juggling a dozen other things trucking.

I follow the example of the new generation in trucking, with all their GPS units and interweb thingys.

I type while going down the road.
