TMC now does bulk. Been contacted several times by them, I hope their flatbed freight pays more than they’ve offered for hopper loads.
was offered a hopper load for $300 was a problem product I won’t haul for $3000. You’ll spend 8-10 hours digging it out of trailer. Another totaled for 1.95/mile Guess that’s why this is day 4 of being home.
that sucks. i delt with hoppers when i managed a feed mill back in mn. i always hated dealing with some of that crap that would come in. i always kept a battery powered concrete vibrator to use on the rails instead of beating it like a red headed step child
haha i didnt have to deal with rice bran. but ddgs and a bunch of other bulk powdered type crap. i lothed the humid days.
Rates are pretty bad at the moment. My minimum average for the week is $2.25 and I’ve been averaging $2.25-2.65 a mile. But always 3,000+ miles a week.
heading out of el paso right now to pickup some wallboard in rotan tx for a drop In Lewisville. for a grand total of approximately 714 to the truck.
