SCAM TOWING ALERT

My truck broke down in Bushnell, Nebraska on interstate 80. I googled truck repair and towing and came across this number 855-655-9800. I called them and they offered to tow me to a city near by for $500.00 but had to make the payment with a COM Check. I gave the guy the check information over the phone and he had sent a different company to get me towed. When the legitimate company came they had said that they never received any payments and I had to pay them additional fees.This FAKE company is advertising online and stealing from truck drivers. He also has an additional number that traces back to Toronto 647-695-3846.

 

You hang up the moment they said sending a second company. And intercept that outgoing payment.

Then call the lawman to show up right quick for you are getting ready to file a report.

Ive called tows before big and small. It has to be the same company called that shows up otherwise no go.

 

Do you think they would say they're sending a second company?

 

Are we going to be graced with the name of the "referral" company?

 

I'm bored, heading out to work..and searching for 'one hit wonders..' sheesh.....SMDH.

Why would you pay over the phone for a tow... before you're towed?

And I've never seen a legitimate towing company that couldn't be paid by credit card.

 

Only ever had two scenarios with tow companies

#1 Company pays for it ( via Billing ) .. i hand the tow people
off to the company

#2 Breakdown service dispatches the tow truck
to my location ( company pays for it )

all ive ever had to do is sit there and wait .

 

I try to make it a point to use Kentucky based tow companies exclusively.

 

I wonder if tow truck drivers sing; I tow!, I tow!, It's off to work I go!!
