    Right at 12k a year so 1K a month.

Good thing is I do not compete with people trying to go out of business. So you are right I cannot compete with you. I only do loads for profit regardless of how much I pay out. Smart business means making money and not working just to work. Hopefully you are the one doing the $1 a mile loads and living in your truck so you can compete with the other guy trying to go belly up.

Not sure with 18 seed but would guess could get close to what an auto is getting with a good driver. I have 500 HP and 12 speed I Shift and so far life time on 60K is 7.79 MPG. Will get a little better because I just passed the break in period on this truck. Surely a skilled driver could get 7.5 all day in this truck with running the same stuff I do since it is mostly OTR freight.

    And your truck payment is...?

Why do you think I make less than you with
your new truck? I just finished a 2 day load,
less than 1000 miles for $2900. Not going to a dead area.

My 20K dollars truck is approaching $200 000
revenue when the maintenance so far is like
    8 cents per mile.

    Chieftains Thanks this.

The simple answer would be that some of us have driven older “real” trucks and prefer not to anymore. Good thing we’re still allowed to make choices like that.

I never said you make less than me with your old used truck. You are the one that came in and said I could not compete with you. And If you run cheap I sure would not want to compete with you. Your run is something I consider average day for me. I shoot for min 1500 a day running since economy has went to the dump. Was 2K a day. Now I don't get all caught up on the pay per mile as much as some do. If I have to run 300-650 a day I am fine as long as I hit my goals. I don't leave the house unless I am gonna make 4K out the gate.

How long have you owned that truck? How many miles a year do you drive to come up with your .08 a mile or is that a life time?
Do you do your own wrenching and only consider the parts as your .08 a mile?

I sure enjoy going home for a week or two and never worry about working on the truck!

Did not know he was talking about an EV since we are talking about trucks. Guess your view a new truck as an EV?
