I started listening to podcasts before the term podcast was invented. I used podcasts to escape trucking. I never wanted to be in trucking, found a couple of places to stay in trucking and am glad I retired from trucking. I cannot imagine spending one minute of my free time thinking about trucking. Other drivers are in the industry and like it. I would recommend you listen to Kevin Rutherford's podcasts. I think you have to pay for them, I'm not sure. I listened to him on my free satellite radio subscription with a new truck. He has the Power Hour, for engine stuff. He has a business hour about the dollar and cents of trucking.

I listened to politics and religious podcasts, plus comedy, history and science and a little bit of true crime. There are a million podcasts. You will need to search among them to find what you like.

Correction. You will need at a MINIMUM a laptop you use only for day trading and at best two laptops when you get heavy into it.
My brother-in-law discovered this the hard way when his laptop took a poo and he lost serious $$$ shorting a stock.

I heart radio......free and a crap load of podcasts. I used to listen to Dateline all the time.
All you need is a patch cable from your phone to the little hole in the radio.

In the mornings I listen to various sports shows going down the road. I'm into different sports so I like to hear the breakdowns. Other times, i listen to shows that discuss psychology, foreign languages, or any type of deep discussion. I definitely like discussions, the type where ideas are exchanged, not where the host tries to flex his or her intellectual muscle, or tries to hammer opinions too hard.
