Ya, I have to agree. I doubt I ever pull that trigger but if I did, I would probably finance it too. Then if things go south, hopefully not, but then I replace the name and numbers when I switch companies. No hassles with trying to get another job while being attached to some lease with the old company.

@cdavis188 talked to former coworker at ODFL today. They got 3 driver's out hurt right now, one is a line haul guy who will be out 6 months and they're going to post his job. It will more than likely be filled by a City Driver, but that leaves an opening peddling freight. City Driver will make $80k+, you can run line haul on weekends as well. I used to try to run a Goodland, Denver or Parsons on short weeks.

Plus you pull money out of a 401K not only do you get whacked for the 10% but you pay the tax on the total since it’s listed as income.

This always seems to happen at Home Depot in Topeka. Dropped at Target down the street and they had no empties. Checked HD offsite drop lots and nothing. Went to main HD yard and they are adamant that they have zero empties, even though the company shows 4. So now i sit and wait. I only have 2h10m left on my 11, which is enough to get me home but only just

I think I’m a day behind on updates.

I unloaded yesterday morning my steel plate in Brenham TX. Next load was a preplan I picked up yesterday in Diboll TX going to Omaha.

Next load is a Lozier load going to Lebanon TN, then hometime.

Sitting here at the ACT yard waiting on my trailer, I could see us losing this yard in the near future, more and more ACT trailers here now, they obviously are running out of room next door. They may eventually say to outside carriers, sorry we need all the capacity. That would suck because this yard is convenient and safe.

That’s a good way to get fired or get your contract cancelled. F your policy and DOT regulations I’m going to do as I please. Sorry dude it doesn’t work like that.

Delivered in Victorville, tried to time my arrival with the appointment window (half an hour early) and wound up half an hour late getting to Ontario. Ran out of gas (and was almost out of hours) in Littlefield, Arizona. Reset there. Delivering in Lincoln today and will try to get as close to Aurora as possible tonight to pick up another Victorville load. 99% sure I’m going to wind up with 33800 for this quarter just like the last one. Debating whether to go north or south (70 is supposed to be in the bull’s eye of the weather, 80 is getting grazed, and 40 should be dry. I’ll check everything again tonight and decide for sure.
