It all depends on record. Years driving, how many have you worked for in those years, safety, driving record, etc.

Best option is to call into Recruiting and just ask them. They are pretty straight shooters so they won’t mislead you. Can always come here to ask all kinds of questions or verify what you’ve been told.

I find myself in Savannah on a weekend before a Monday delivery on occasion. I’ve been thinking about parking the Truck at one if the Truck Stops and take an Uber down to one of the hotels in the river for the night. The hotels aren’t cheap but it would be nice to treat myself to a night out on the town now and then.

I usually get my money's worth from a rental car, then take 10 or 12 in the sleeper. I try to take a lot of pictures when I can.

Savannah? Make sure the truck is on empty, everything that can be removed off the truck is locked up, and make sure you park in the outskirts. Not saying anything will happen, but if you look at the local clientele running around pulling cans, you’ll notice a common denominator. And, if you look close enough, you’ll even notice specially set up side boxes with hoses sticking under the bunk. In the 8 months I’ve been assigned to my hub, I’ve had my fuel card pirated twice, my mud flaps stolen and my credit card used fraudulently. Not pointing the finger at every container hauler, but hey it is what it is. I’m just glad I can park at my hub and uber to a hotel or dinner.

Velocity (Freightliner of Raleigh) not only didn’t get the truck in today they apparently never checked it in yesterday either when I spoke to them and filled out the paperwork or when breakdown called them, now it is officially checked in and they are hoping to get it in tomorrow for diagnosis.

Unpopular opinion checking in. That Gary Petro is actually quite nice.

Haven’t been there in years, but it was by far the nicest place to stay in Gary.
