I know I'm not adding anything but those things are another reason why I would never do LTL!

I gotta ask for you guys with these slip seat boxes. Which companies do you work for that don't have stereos in their trucks? Are they just plain cheap or is it more of a safety thing?
This may sound crazy, but I would seriously rule out a company during a job search that doesn't have stereos in their trucks. My tunes are cranking all day long. I would probably go nutty and start talking to myself if I didn't have the radio to keep me company.:biggrin_25526:

How can i put this in a non cawky contex. When your employer provides a fair wage/benefits . A deleted radio in a Single screw day cab, it is far from a priority doing local work.
Would i like a functioning radio? You betcha! Nature of the employer equipment and bring your own entertainment BYOE. Life goes on brother

P.S. I am nutty and talk to myself. Thanks for the reason i can blame. No Efffing radio ! :biggrin_25519:

After 30 years, Mr.Stevens, Young enough to care about loved ones, Old enough to not care about the petty crap.

I'd still stick you in the ward for comic relief and bet on you to kick arse in scrabble:yes2557:

I too drive a single screw day cab everyday. If it wasn't for the radio then I would have to listen to all the rattles, squeaks and bangs(mostly from seat back slamming against the back window) all day long from the POS I drive everyday!

Probably work for the same employer. The chances of that is very odd numbers.

The radio interferes with my thoughts, can't have that nonsense. employer agrees, outside talk is distracting, ignore everyone until at home base lol :biggrin_25519:

I'm in the process of putting together a lightweight wood box for myself. I thought about putting power to it (to mount a cb or stereo) but that's not exactly what the primary use will be for me. It's mostly to get things I need while driving off the floor and within reach. I suppose I'll build more and sell 'em if I see some interest by others. It'll be a "rough" box which I take to mean anyone can modify it if they'd like by mounting a cb or even a stereo, etc. Btw, It'll be approx 18" tall and about the same length. It'll have a shoulder strap which would then be secured inside around the base of the passenger seat for stability and in case of a roll-over. I'd hate to get hit by it! lol
