    Help needed from you guys:
I was going to 100 Prison Rd Represa, CA. On Natoma St, Folsom CA cop stopped me and gave VC35401A and MCF 10.12.040 ticket. He said i should be under 65' bumper to bumper. I was driving Cascadia with 53' dry van trailer. I told the judge that i am not guilty, so next court is coming up in October 17, 2016.

You didn't take Folsom to Natomo did you? It is signed no trucks. You have to come in from the other side. I think the address you gave is the prison.

Were there signs indicating that trucks over 65' are prohibited? Not that signs are necessary because even without signs you are still subject to know if you are on a restricted road. Now, if there were signs and you only got an "over-length" ticket, consider yourself lucky. With signs you could have been written up for "disobeying road signs" and this carries points.

Back when I transported inmates in there on an MCI bus, there is only 1 way in and out for big rigs, all the other streets are signed no trucks. I am not sure if E Natomo is signed for length or not. The MCF is a Municipal Code Section, so the length restriction would need to be signed as it is imposed by the local jurisdiction, not by CalTrans or the State.

Do you always use that trailer? Have you measured the truck and trailer?

You should see about getting a different court date and maybe the cop doesn't show up. Did the officer measure you?

Did the tape measure somehow lie to you and the cop? Best bet may be to plead ignorance of the laws that applied to that particular section of that particular road, unless you drove by one or more signs stating this rule, the you may have to plead "No comprender ingles". Oh and go get one of those Trump Special spray-on tans (with Brown tint) so you can look "un American" in case you look like Larry The Cable Guy in winter time, then it will be easier to claim ignorance or no-acceptance of California and USA laws.

Your #### if you didn't stay on the designated truck route. Pay the ticket and move on.

EVERY road in California has a 65' length limit unless otherwise posted.

This sign means OK for STAA trucks: [IMG]

    CA truck maps: http://www.dot.ca.gov/trafficops/trucks/truck-network-map.html

Illinois is another state that'll write over length tickets for standard otr rigs -- especially ####ty small towns (looking at you Manhattan, IL)
