Key words everybody seemed to miss. He was required to appear for the ticket. There was no let the boss send a check. That was not an option.

Op, you skipped out on a court date. Own it! Now either find a different job (without a background check) or man up & take care of your business.

alot of people didnt miss anything. several people including my self said i would have paid the ticket 10years ago. if you read the ticket and it says appear. then appear 10 years ago to pay it. how would we pay the ticket if we didnt read it first.

Have you tried to contact your old employer?
Or contact the court and explain the circumstances to them
Not sure about paying an attorney, it might be cheaper to just pay the fine

I think, after 10 years, there's really nothing to do but pay the fine.

Certainly be easier then spending who knows how much time on phone calls. And it's probably not that expensive.

As far as the warrant goes it's probably not extraditable; just do not go to New Mexico, secondly contact court clerk to find out how much the fine and cost will be to clear this up. I would consult a local attorney in that municipality for guidance if your appearance would be required. You can also call the company you worked for and tell them that you got a ticket while in one of the company owned trucks and ask them to assist you in clearing this up. Always remember sometimes you can pay a ticket and clerks don't update the system.

    $500 for a lawyer

    $100 for the fine.

A lawyer can't help at all. It's too old and It's in NM. Ain't no lawyer in the country gonna take the case. And ain't no harm gonna come in just paying the fine.

Gallup Port of entry ? I have went round and round on a radar detector ticket that appears as a warrant but not if you run my license.. then when I go through Gallup nothing happens I have spoken to many people who say I have to appear in person and can not pay over the phone
