That is a pretty good idea, I bought the 12v one off ebay and the AC one from the same seller on amazon prime both work great and don't regret getting them, though looks like same seller also offers the USB type, I might pick one up, seems more versatile.
Amazon.com: USB Adapter for AT&T ZTE Mobley OBD2 LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot: Cell Phones & Accessories

I do really like the 12v adapter though as it has a nice on/off power button on it.

Also using the second mobley with the AC adapter at home for home internet replacement has been working really well. Speeds aren't super fantastic all the time, some times dipping under 10 Mbps but still better than my old expensive DSL.

@Hurst needs to get one of these. For $20 one can't go wrong as a back up. The speed don't compare to Verizon or sprint but the coverage is much better. Least for me anyways. I've got service where Verizon or sprint have never had. But I don't any further then 169 miles from barn.

Can't wait to see how it does when I take my bike out.

It wouldnt make sense for me right now. I'm on Verizon's unlimited plan. The price is certainly tempting in order to compare signals. ATT is the only mobile carrier I have never tried.

I was on Cingular before ATT bought them out. But I was still in construction and not OTR during that time, so being local gives me nothing to base my needs for how I operate now.

Got my power cord today. Going to take my old vizio 19" tv and a firestick on the road with me tomorrow and test this thing out. Streamed a couple hours of Direct TV Now ESPN this afternoon testing it out. Only had a 6Mbps connection and it did fine. DTVNow is a data hog so it should work out well.

I've noticed the speeds improving on my mobley. Still can't compete with my sprint phone.

I"m gonna order me up one of these babies. Thinking that will be a better option for my needs.

Just one. Not the entire 6 pack.

I bought one of those battery power packs from walgreens. 4000 mah for $10. To go with my usb power adapter. Lasts about 12 hours. Will make a really nice carry around hotspot now. Without the need for some type of electrical power source.

Wish i could post a link but it's not listed on walgreens websight.

You can't beat it for ten bucks, can you?

I got my first bill for a full month. Twenty two dollars and 8 pennies. :)

Haven't seen the bill yet. But I got a video email. $51. PARTIAL , month in advance. And $25 activation which is supposed to be free since I bought it outright.

I got the video bill, too. That was a first. It worked out ok, though. I tried not to be a bandwith hog. But at the end of the month, it was 6X better than promised. For the time being, I am going to leave it sitting at the house. Good bye Time Warner Cable. It was nice knowing you.

My bill had a $25 credit subtracted. First months bill is $24.68 which includes a couple of days prorated. It should settle out at $$22 and change per month.

I am also seeing free data for DTVNow streaming. I should find out whether that is slowed over 22G later this month. I used up 15G yesterday by playing a podcast I subscribe to. Had my phone set to download on wifi and it downloaded 6 months of back episodes.
