20 years old, what can I do until I turn 21 to prepare?

I don't have that issue either.

Aside from giving advice I occasionally offer comedy.

Best of luck in jumping over to the O/O side. Actually having freedom is pretty hard to beat! :)

I know the difference sorry I just like to type fast without proof reading for casual conversations like this, I didn't take truckers to be grammar Nazis.

A comma also needs a space out after it, and you should be using a single period or a comma in the places you have multiple periods. Most college students should know this, since the trucking forum just became a graded assignment.

you remind me of a former co-driver.

he was married, and had one kid, and one on the way.

he had a college degree, and a realtors license. both his parents were realtors as well.

ok, he started selling, and quit, then he went to culinary school graduated and got a job, then quit.

then he was a building maintenance man, and quit.

then he was a graduate of trucking school, and got assigned to me.

his father-in-law said, (as he told me), "well Dave, is this one more job you're gonna do for a short time and quit"??? "You know that you're married to my daughter and she's pregnant again"..??

to wit Dave said, "no i always wanted to drive a truck"

4 weeks with me as a co-driver.....he hops on a plane, and flies home, quitting the job........

there WAS a pattern there, didn't involve me, at any point and time.............

    i wish you well..........

you're name ain't Dave, is it..............?????

Back on track, why not go over to Oak Ridge and get a job there? You may not have job security but no one does and it's better than most. Besides, that place will never close and go away. Get specialized and then maybe look into hauling that type of cargo. That's where the money is and that's where a trained driver is in demand. They are not going to let any driver haul reactor fuel to a disposal site (when they find one). It cost a lot to train a person in all the aspects of the cargo. It won't be like gasoline and such because all eyes will be on the first few years. You'll have to earn that chunk of change but I'm sure it will be worth it. Just a suggestion. You can also look at becoming a Federal Agent with the Nuclear Materials Courier Program in Albuquerque N.M.. You may be able to start training now I'm not sure. I mostly know what's in the back but I do know they make tons of money. I know because one of them showed us his tax statement.
