Did you just change fuel filters? Sounds like it's losing prime.

You've got a cracked fish bowl or a line that's cracked sucking air

not that i have ever done this but...;)
a sandwich baggie dropped in a fuel tank will do that too. the baggy gets sucked into the line, stops the fuel, truck dies, the baggy floats to the top of the fuel barely visible. Start the truck and it will do it everytime

had a similar issue with my 2012 386

    What we did
is take the line off from the fuel filter ( clear fish bowl). Put it in a bucket of fuel and fire it up if it runs then from there
Start taking the fuel lines from the truck the thin ones. Unscrew it fold it zip tie it and run the truck if it dies then you do the other one if the truck runs then you know your issue is that line or the tank.
For us it was the fuel tank. It broke inside

To get the truck home ran it on one fuel tank then swapped the “ bad thank” with a different one and the issue went away.
