Little yellow engine shaped warning light stays on, the one above and to the left of the tach. When I go into the fault code menu it just says unrecognized fault code, check at next service.

The only thing I notice is the engine seems to do auto regen more often, but I have been using more winter fuel lately, a few times added 75 or so gallons of straight #1, the new trucks seem to just hate winter fuel. I have still never had to do a parked regen, and now 187,000 miles on truck.

Should I bother running it to a shop or just drive it? Seems to be running just fine.

At least another 3 weeks or 15000 more miles.

I would take it to a shop as sooner than later. What worries me is that some of the unrecognized faults could be related to the aftertreatment system which you hinted at it doing regens more frequently. Anything related to the aftertreatment that causes a fault code could derate your power and eventually end in a 5mph derate which you don't want. Don't meant o scare you on this but that is what I would do.
