Pablo,my post wasn't for Carrkool.(in fact from what Carrkool has posted in the past i wouldn't advice EBS/ECAS for he as i know he would hate it)
I know he doesn't have EBS.
It was for Alaga who asked about what is possible over on our side off the big pond.

DAF105 & Pablo - I'm not sure how much/what level of EBS is even available for equipment here, but I doubt you would find 0.01% of any trailers sold would have it. This side is reluctant to new things, regardless of how good it is. I do understand some of that due to cost, complexity, untried tech, etc; but if it helps me stop the rig better I am usually for it (with a few exceptions).

I still prefer to change my own gears, however.

Have watched the minute-long Volvo video on YouTube of the truck with collision warning and elec. braking several times; would like to know I could have a rig with that level of stopping ability!

alaga,i run with EBS on both truck and trailer combined with disk brakes.
    Tankers,no baffles,grossing 96000lbs.
I would never want to go back to ABS and drums(my old truck and trailer)
Best thing is that even on full brake with the slush effect,i have not had any flat spots on any tyre.:biggrin_25514:

I have asked a few people on this forum if they could ask dealers when EBS would be offered on North American trucks but i haven't had an answer to that question.

DAF - I think better brakes shares the upper-end of the list of most wanted 'what ifs' along with fuel economy and reliability. You would be better off the contact the truck builders or the equipment manufactures directly since most dealer sales people I have ever dealt with (with one exception - my KW guy in MS) don't have more than a clue about what is available now, much less what might be in the future. Very frustrating if you get into spec'ing your equipment to the best of your use and preference.

I can hear them now - "Electronic what? Brakes? We got brakes on every wheel now! Where did you ever hear about something like that - you been reading Popular Mechanics?" Instead of you hear "What color do you want, how big of a sleeper, and how much chrome? Do you like that big hood I got on the lot out there??" Maybe the Peterbilt sales guy on the forum here might be of help, he seems to know something about what he is selling...

DAF - Forgot to mention in earlier post - sounds like you could use all the help form the truck you could get with that sort of cargo and weight. Makes hauling 45k of concrete products and brick, etc, seem easy! My hat's off to you for that!
