I like Cummins. Look into Encore XT1 warranty from Cummins. Like Shotgun94 said, make sure the fuel pump is updated and it’ll be fine.
The older trucks, pre EGR, have typically 1.3- 1.7 million miles on them. Is there a practical limit as to rebuild number of times on a block? At what mileAge typically do engines require complete remove and rebuild? I'm leaning toward a N14 if I can get one. Of not a DD 12 7 60
All I can say is 8 out of 10 trucks you see on the side of the road with the hood open have those red motors.
I don't think so. I have my testing done last year and there were more Detroit powered cascadias on shoulders.
You see the red motors more becvause that's what's used mostly. Locally you'll probably see more yellow motors. Course, Volvo's seem to be a popular option also.
