I’ve been to 3 mechanics, one of them is a dealer (although an amateur ones on a newly opened shop didn’t do the job). None of them say a thing about clutch air line leaking. (And if it leaks it does while driving).

Now I got pumped up about this idea “What if?”. I’ll replace the line and see where it’ll take me.

Take it to the dealer, have them put it on the computer and either reset the governor system or have them determine what the problem is. Your truck is a typical volvo, big pia because it has too much controlled by electronics.

I was at dealer. They hooked it up to computer. Changed the purge valve on air dryer, replaced the Safety Valve and charged me $1,800. Suggested bunch of unrelated repairs.

    Incompetent crooks.
Find a private shop that works on Volvos (if your warranty expired).
You'll get a better service and more exact diagnostics than throwing parts at a problem at a dealer.

I marked where your governor would’ve been, so that’s right, you don’t have one where most Volvos do. Check that fan clutch line and if it’s not it take it to a Volvo (not a dealer) mechanic.
