4Wheeler Merge Failure

I see this guy coming down the onramp to merge onto the freeway so I slowed down just a little instead of merging over to the fast lane myself. My exit was coming up at the Loves about another mile down the road. By the time I realized this guy was pooping himself and flipping me off riding his own brakes it was too late for me to merge over and too dangerous to do so as I would have affected traffic running full speed up on the freeway to accomadate this 4wheeler fool. All he had to do was put his dainty little foot on the gas pedal and push it down, he can certainly go from 45 to 65 in a matter of seconds. Instead he chose to play the victim and flip me off. He followed me all the way to the Loves then called no joy and took off when I got out of the truck to talk to him.

As you all know it is not our job to get out of the way for people merging up onto the freeway; it is indeed their job to properly merge on doing whatever is necessary to blend into the traffic as much as possible without disrupting existing traffic on the freeway.

 

Yup. #### or get off the pot!

 

Can't lie I'm with you on this one its like wow man you couldn't do any better than that? Oh well too bad.

 

Soon as you noticed the 4 wheeler on the ramp you should have moved over scottie provided the left lane was clear. And it was..........

 

I use to move over, but so many of them pull up right beside you and won't let you back over.

 

If it's clear, I'll move over. But even if there's a spot, if traffic is heavy, I'm holding the lane. I know as soon as I move left, I'll have hell to pay to get back over into the right lane, because people obviously have no clue what that little blinky-flashy light means on the corner (and side) of my trailer.

I wasn't referring to that video specifically, I meant "in general" scenarios.

 

Right on, I'm just referring to this video, had the driver of been professional here we wouldn't be seeing this video

 

The person getting on the road is responsible to merge, not the driver already there. I think this is one of the reasons people don't merge properly, fourwheelers seem to think everyone should make room for them. I agree wholeheartedly in not moving over for a car when I am coming up on my exit. I have been hung out too many times by them riding along side me and hanging me out in the left lane, and when a big truck does it I'm tempted to put him in the ditch, but I just drop the hammer and then get back over.
