    Save it.
There’s price gouging laws in every state.
Going right to blaming it on leftist when you should actually be blaming it on the Texas Taliban.

Just calling out the political nonsense that’s infiltrated the open forum. Getting sickening.

I didn't say vote for Trump or Kamala. I just stated my opinion on price gouging laws and they're unnecessary leftist policy that doesn't work. If that hurts your feelings I'm not sorry.

No your opinion avoids facts. If prices don't go up there won't be gas or food for anyone. A politician and political pandering go hand in hand whether they're an R or D. The pandering "gouging hotline" doesn't surprise me or refute my facts.

You haven’t presented any facts, lol.
Blaming it all on leftist just shows that you’re a political hack.

“if prices don’t go up there won’t be food or gas for anyone”

Please explain this stupid statement :)

Have you been to your local supermarket lately and tried to buy toilet paper or paper towels? That's what happens when prices don't get raised in a real or perceived emergency. People hoard #### for no good reason and the rest of us that need something can't get it. I would gladly pay double or triple for some paper towels right now but nobody has any.

These stupid gouging laws are rarely enforced and most likely only enforced via some political gamemanship somebody upset at a local business owner and getting back at them. When you don't raise the price of gas in an emergency or perceived emergency people hoard it for no good reason. Then the ambulance and fire truck won't have any. Or you won't be able to get any to take your loved one to the emergency room. You'll have Joe Sixpacks filling up 5 gallon jugs and hoarding it to resell at "gouging prices", a black market so to speak, because the legit business might get prosecuted for raising their prices.

Raising prices ensures supply and keeps hoarders from hoarding. Basic economics.

Back when the events of 9/11 occurred a few gas stations in Indiana were pulling a similar stunt. Sheriffs departments were sent in to shut them down. Some of the owners were even threatened with jail time!

And you called me stupid? You're just evidence that while schools no longer teach basic stuff like economics anymore that even if they did it probably wouldn't matter. Some people are just a little to dense to grasp what ought to be common sense.

But yes, toilet paper disappeared because prices were not raised. It's cheap and dumb people thought we were going to run out of it due to the longshoremen strike so they made a run on toilet paper and it disappeared. Had the stores raised the price temporarily substantially to "gouging levels" that wouldn't have happened. That's how the free market balances things out.
