So I am rebuilding one of my 60 series I pulled the head, and was doing a bunch of pre build work ie polishing the crank.
So we where baring the moter over and somehow the cam gear fell and I didn't notice right away.
So I reset it to the second timing mark but I don't is there a way to check the timing without pulling the front case apart?

One of his parts explains the process, of timing through the acess plates, I believe. I’m not knowledgeable enough myself. Pretty sure you can do it by looking with acess covers off. Supposed to use a special tool to hold cam gear in place. I guess you did all that, and know enough about it. Might find an answer on his timing video. Help figure it out. Good Luck. Only video I’ve ever found that explains bull gear and timing and shows a video. Very thorough.
