750k mile preventative service recommendations?

    My 2016 Cascadia is hitting 750k and going strong, but I was thinking of dropping $2-3k on some preventative maintenance. A reward to the truck for being so reliable, and to make sure it gets to the sweet million.

    What would y'all recommend?

    It had the overhead done at 590,000 miles, so prolly doesn't need that.

    Should I do lower bearings? I've been told that it's very necessary but I've also been told that it's a waste of money.

    Probably should do injector pressure check?

    But then again, it's giving me no check engine lights and still getting 10mpg when I'm taking it easy, so maybe I should just leave it alone and save the money for when something does break...

    Save your money for new dpf unless you’ve done it already. Many dpfs are replaced around that mileage but yours isn’t acting up yet but could in the next year or two .. watch oil pressure if it drops do pick up seal otherwise just drive it .. “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it “

    Thanks for the advice.

    What exactly should I look for in oil pressure? It always fluctuates depending on RPM, how cold the truck is, how new the oil is, Etc... but I do usually get around 40-45 PSI when I'm running 65 - 68 mph. Is this normal?

    Last time you changed transmission and rear end oil?
    It’s high because its synthetic but it could save you from either going out, that oil breaks down too, but gets overlooked.

    I’d keep up with maintence and run it for now.

    Transmission was replaced a year ago, that oil is good.

    The rear diffs, yeah it might be time. The fluid doesn't look ::terrible:: yet, but it's getting there

    i change mine out every year in September/October may not need to be but it’s cheaper to stay top and not have to replace

    Yup im always 80k+ so i do mine every 6 months and it comes out dirty.

    As for 750k it depends on what you want to spend. If you keep up on general maintaince then id say your likely good until something breaks. Otherwise you COULD have your pumps, injectors, plugs and such tested. Run a blowby oil test if you aint already and dyno to ensure nothing is out of whack. Replace all belts and hoses if you havent done it recently.

    New hub seals all the way around if they havent been changed. Have the 5th wheel inspected for excessive wear or cracks. Sand and repaint any exposed rust and metal on the frame. Id replace the cab airbags as they tend to be pretty worn. Check your shocks, leafs and springs. Have bushings inspected, id replace all the fuses with new just to avoid corrosion problems. Have the compressor health tested change all filters across the truck. Check the condition of your lights and plugs. New headlights/wiper motor/blower motor for the AC/defroster.

    And the list goes on and on. Honestly, like i said it just depends on your budget.

    It is only 6 years old, what prevention? Even getting new truck will not prevent from anything can happen. As it was mentioned above, I'd keep few crucial parts in the truck, otherwise keep on trucking, there would be same amount for replacing something broken as it were replacing it now, to prevent it from being broken.. well, maybe extra for towing, if any.

    If you changed the rear end gear oil at 500,000 it's tine to change them again.

    Last truck I had had original oil in trany and diffs I've put myself for over a million miles with no damage to anything. Not a biggy thing to worry about. Gas pedal is concern, not oil itself.
