Thanks dice, I was especially interested to hear about the difference in a single drive tractor cos that's what I've got but does this mean you don't have mb rear ends now? Will mb re-do your rear ends? Thanks again for the info.

Kevin Rutherford who has a trucking show on XM/Sirius 106 Road dog channel M-F at midnite EST and Sat and Sun from 4 pm till 7 pm EST.

You guys in Europe can listen in by going to the "Let's Truck" website during the show and get a link to a blog site that carries the show in the forum chat room. http://letstruck.com/forum

Kevin has 3 Fed-Ex Trucks with single drive axles pulling doubles and has preliminarily reported a 3/10ths gain with the single MicroBlue rear end done that he has now done the steer and single drive axle wheel bearings.

I would start with the wheel bearings first and then do the rear end.

Got my Real Wheels Stainless Steel Aero Wheel Covers mounted on the truck. They are well made and fit tight.

    From Real Wheels Corporation: http://www.realwheels.com/aerostyle.html

I went with the more expensive Stainless Steel ones that were $505 including shipping and mounting brackets. I like the look of the stainless too.

I use tire pressure/temperture sensors and did not need valve stem extensions or extra holes for the valve stems in the covers that I believe cost extra.

Be sure to keep those covers mirror polished :yes2557:

Do they mount like hub caps? How do you check the lugnuts?

That is what I like about them being stainless steel....no polishing. Just wipe them off. Always shiny with a lifetime guarantee mirror finish.

Go to website and watch video on mounting brackets that mount to drive axle bolts to hub. 2 phillips head screws hold them on to mounting bracket if I need to check the lug nuts or hubs.

They have the clear lexan window versions too.

I have the tire pressure/temp sensors on them to keep up without removing covers.

    Those wheel covers look cool!

I had trucks with "alcoa durabrite" wheels, same as your covers they've a special coating you never need to polish them, just need to be careful when washing that you dont repeatedly keep scraping them with brush heads etc cos eventually little marks will show on them just a little care and they'll never fade, I like your michelins too, expensive but brilliant tyres,

Dice... Are those the air tags you were talking about up along the cab side wind-deflector ?
