I'll try that trick next time I need to wash my clothes.

Stick them in a mesh bag, toss in a soap bubble, and tie it to the DOT bumper.
I guess then I'll have to find some puddles to drive through.

I'm sure it will work just fine.

ok..well maybe it wouldnt work as well when not on a ship.. BUT.. as a trucker you could always hang a clothes line off the truck and air dry your underwear while driving down that road.. that should not only save you time at a truck stop laundry mat, but also like $1.50 worth of dryer time.. LMAO

4 years on the Saratoga ... laundry was always running and never broke down ... now fresh water, that was different story. A little JP5 in your coffee perked you right up.

And yes I did notice that those floating cities did have much better equipment on them then us small boys.. too bad it took you 4 days to get liberty in most foreign ports that the ship didnt fit in huh?

Back when the Navy was real loose, I'd catch Shore Patrol duty in Philippines and Hong Kong. I'd go to one of my girl friends in the bars and give them my Shore Patrol gear to hide behind the bar and tell them I'm working undercover tonight then do some serious partying. The next day on the ship they would say how tired and worn out I looked. I'd say, yep it's tough out there keeping order with a bunch of drunk sailors and Marines and breaking up fights.

WOW first the original poster and now this one, I ignored this originally but honestly it's sad they had nothing better to do the spread hate and anger. I wonder what is so awful in their lives that they have to put others down to make themselves feel better.

Although I did enjoy the way most responded to the mean and joked it off. I have been to plenty of truck stops on long distance drives and there have been plenty of unclean truck drivers, mostly because I probably don't notice the clean ones, I'll say it depends on the driver how clean or unclean they are, and nope they aren't just Swift drivers.
