I hate weekend dispatch. Been waiting for the official dispatch now for a few hours. Got tired of waiting so I started running back down to Lancaster with this load. That is where it going anyway. Maybe they will send it sometime before I get there. I have tried calling and just get transfered to someone else that doesn't answer the phone or they transfer me to someone else if they do answer the phone. Even tried to send PeopleNet messages and they seem to ignored. Oh well. I am running anyway and have been for the past 250miles. Taking my 30min break.

Got my load going home. Picked up a trailer going to La Porte, Tx and this is what I found on the inside:

    Gotta love it.

I had a similar issue last week. I picked up a trailer at the Lithonia yard, and during my pre-trip I noticed there was no seal. I opened the doors and there were about 10 boxes of potatoes that had fallen. Three cases broke open and potatoes were everywhere. No one bothered to explain why the seal was broken or why the previous driver didn't bother to clean it up. OS&D asked me to pick up the potatoes so I did. The funny thing is that the receiver saw that 10 boxes had fallen and they didn't care. They accepted everything.

I have had the flu since Saturday night and I am in a hotel near Lancaster. I think I will get back in my truck tomorrow and get a load leaving Thursday.

I am not having any luck with the Northeast and Southeast planners. I get a load to Palmyra and instead of getting a load out of there they want me to deadhead 300 miles for 600 loaded miles that delivers 4 days later. Last week I delivered to Atlanta and they were going to deadhead me to Tarboro, NC to pick up a load. I was lucky and I got a load that to SC that I could deliver on my way.

Is anyone else having these problems? I try to call these planners but they don't answer their phone. I send them messages days in advance of my arrival trying to line something up and it does not seem to be working.

I also have had to repair the last 3 of 4 reefers I have had. Anyone else have that problem too?
