Todays Trucking is so over regulated by the government now. The most miles a driver can drive is about 3500 miles within a 70 hour week with a 62 mph truck. Then the driver has to do a 34 hour restart. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out the mileage pay minus your road expenses. Your advances just to eat plus any tolls or other expenses due that are to be reimbursed to the driver at a later date on payroll. Plus any federal and state taxes withheld from you pay. FFE pays .29cpm for 6 months experience. Average miles per week 1800=$522.00 a week. 6 months to a year 30cpm=$540.00 now take out your living expense of $160 per week plus your federal and state taxes what you have left??

Hmm lets see after my pre planned load delivers on thursday I will have had 3324 miles for a week thats 3324×.29=963.96×52=50,125 gross yearly. Now I know that freight doesnt run 24/7/365 that many miles in fact in the winter it can slow considerably, however the fact remains that it is possible to make 50 grand a yr with Ffe and in my book that amount of money can be construed as excellent pay not just for being a rookie in a company that pays for Cdl schooling but is also well liked and respected from there current drivers.

29 cents isnt that great but i dont know any company that pays that much coming out of school swift is 25 cents and they dont get as many miles as we do on average ; i was averaging 2800 miles a week as a company driver and i am up around 3300 as a o/o and my average profit is $1,500 a week so i havent much to ##### about ---- except the taxes lol --- the downfall its hard to take time off with the lease -- but you are going right to the top end of the pay scale instead of waiting 3 or 4 years to get in the 44 cent a mile range for a company driver --- I am 5 months into this lease and satisfied so far
jomar68 Thanks this. -
I agree with Buckeye. I am a month into my lease and have already made over 4 grand.

Wait untill that 1099 get's ya!

thats the worse part -- paying taxes at least theres some good deductions and the per diem helps greatly ------ but just think how the goverment uses your money so wisely lol

Hey guys I been reading the thread here I'm looking forward to joining the FFE Team soon I talked to the recruiter and she said I lived in a pretty good area I live near Laredo TX so she said a lot of loads come from there in Mexico. Idk if she was pulling my leg or not but she told me since I live so close to Mexico and USA border it's a prime area of trucking. I live roughly 2hrs outside Laredo in McAllen Tx

she was right , ffe has a yard in Laredo and you should be able to get down there fairly easy to get home and I all ways get good trips out of there ; I think my shortest trip out of Laredo was 1100 miles ,you also would have some possibilities on texas regional if you need to get home more
-
She even said when you get your home time we can send you to Laredo then get your time off idk how many loads go thru Laredo. I remember uncle telling me he has many years trucking he said Laredo was a lil town now its major trucking industry and I believe him in many warehouses I worked everything came from Mexico that was heading into the states for final assembly
