No. My reasoning is a little more for personal reasons. I will be hanging up my truck driving tennis shoes in 24.3 months. I won't need them while retired. Last time I checked the only thing I need in Palm Beach County to fish is a $10 per year fishing license, and that fishing license is only good in Palm Beach County, I won't be worried about DOT asking to see it.

What a backwards, out of control government we have, be it local, state or federal. I wasn't able to get my license renewed yesterday. Even with an appointment and spending 1.5 hours at the local comedy club, I mean DMV, I was turned away because I didn't have the proper documentation with me. You know why? Because of the fact I decided I wasn't renewing my HazMat, hence no background check, then I fell into the category of just renewing, and because of that, I wasn't prepared to show the clock watcher the correct paperwork. I had my current CDL, passport, SS card and voter registration card, all with the same home address. When she told me that I needed 2 pieces of mail to confirm my identity I politely asked why. She told me that would confirm my identity. When I told her my voters registration card was issued to me on 7/05 by the state and that the issue date was on it it fell on deaf ears. All I heard her say was that it's a federal law and that's what they go by. So now I need to go back when I get back home on the 12th or 13th. My license expires on the 13th so that will be on my must do list when I get back home.

I'm not going to get real political here, but let me tell you, when Haji and the boys took a fit on 9/11 they really screwed things up for the US citizen who play by the rules. I guess me showing my mortgage statement and cable bill will make all the difference in the world, and will make sure no one else gets a wild hair up their A.$.$. and decide to take flying lessons here in South Florida to use for their next escapade. I'm all for some form of government in our life, but this is a little much.

So all of those GOVERNMENT issued ID's, two of them with your address AND photo on them, weren't good enough, but two pieces of mail are? Sheesh! I don't even truly know what to say about this. How incredibly stupid...

It was one of those stupid Tallahassee tricks a few years back, well after 9-11 honestly, I came here from NJ in 2003 and walked in and changed my license, haz-mat and all in about 15 minutes with no mail address other then what I gave them.... I guess it was just too easy in 03 and 07 when I re did my haz... sometime after that I needed 27 forms of ID that have no actual value to prove anything other then I might have stolen someone's mail... boy them politicians are good at screwing everything up!!!

Hope it's an easier process in NC when my time comes to renew.

Playing the dispatch game this morning. I called in yesterday like we are instructed when on home time over the weekend. Chris said there was nothing in the system for me and to call in in the morning. I called in this morning and left a message on Tim's voice mail that I'm ready to go. That's as far as I'm going with this today. I still have things to do around the house, when they come up with something I'm quite sure they'll call, at least I hope thy call, then I'll leave. It's a little aggravating having to sit by the phone at the house.

John Boy, you don't seem like the kind who spends a lot of time watching TV, but I'm wondering if Slingbox would be good for truckers. It allows you to watch anything you would have on your home TV anyplace you get an internet connection.

Not trying to answer for Johnboy, but I spend $100/month for 10gb through AT&T for data but keep in mind access is not guaranteed in remote areas such as Montpelier Idaho.

Slingbox would let you watch any channels you get at home on any internet connected device so other than Montpelier ID and other such locations, you could get tv without an antenna
