Oh this kid is a truck owners dream come true when it comes to taking care of equipment, has worked here for 2 years in shop and around the yard now trying regional work.

We have a driver where I'm currently at who is very meticulous about his truck and washes it at least 2-3 times a week when possible. One day last winter he was washing it and I asked him why, since they were calling for a snowstorm the next day. His reply, in his very thick Pennsylvania Dutch accent was, "gotta make room for the new dirt".

I just about fell on the ground from laughing so hard.

If I owned trucks and had drivers I would like for them to take care of the truck. I would reward them somehow for doing so (unlike my company).

Voyager and Flatbed at least you don't have someone who wants to ride around in a dirty truck all the time. I can't wash mine because of the shop is either closed when I get in or the wash guy is acting like he is doing something by parking another truck on the pit.

Johnboy you should have told them that you was taking the wife out to dinner to begin with and you would have probably had a load before you got out the door. That is the way it always work.

Everyone have a safe and happy trip.

Got to the yard at. 9:30 last night. Boy was it cold out, 10 degrees. Dropped my trailer and wrote my truck up together a service. I went in to see Jeremy and Bo about a load. What I got is someone's headache that I refuse to let become mine. It's a 3 dropper, Nashville, Little Rock and Hot Springs. The issue I have is the first drop is already late, it's suppose to be there today, then the last toe tomorrow. I'll be going into dispatch shortly and see about getting a real team load. Shower time.

My truck is officially a fleet truck, it had its first full service. We left the yard about 3pm yesterday. It's 615 miles to the first drop in Nashville. I figured with a dinner break and a coffee break we would be there about 2am, the problem was I didn't figure in the fact that I ate something that gave me a case of the chits, so bad that I stopped at every rest area and about 10 truckstops. With all that stopping (pooping) I got to my first drop right at 8am. After eating about 5 Imodium I was pooped out.

I was was told to drop my trailer with the final 2 drops at our drop yard in Olive Branch MS then bobtail to Forest City AR to drop and hook for a load that is a drop and hook in Groveport Oh. tomorrow at 5am. I then have to meet a solo driver in Columbus to take his trailer and drop in Twin Falls Id at 7am Monday, then 2 drops in SLC Monday afternoon. Right now we are waiting for our trailer to get done.

Looks like I'll miss you by a couple of hours, I'll be going through Columbus tomorrow afternoon. Have a safe trip westward my friend, and try to keep the left door closed this time.

Thanks, same to you. After last night with all the toilet visiting, this left door will be closed for a long time.

What a day. After leaving Forest City 3 hours late, I gave George the truck at midnight last night. He did an excellent job. At 5am it started snowing. He was tired so I took the truck back. He went straight to bed and I had heavy wind driven snow and snow packed roads for the last 300 miles. I called into dispatch at 9am to let them know I would be dropping the trailer late due to weather, they new that I was delayed leaving the shipper and knew the weather conditions I was fighting. I was told to get there when I could, safely. I got there at noon, dropped the trailer, hooked to my loaded one that another driver dropped for me and was out the gate in 30 minutes.

We are now just crossing into Illinois on 70. Again the weather this way is better than going across Iowa on 80. We should be seeing daylight in the morning around Sidney Nebraska, then be in Twin Falls early Monday morning. Be safe all, God Bless.

I thought I've seen it all, I've seen the aftermath of an earthquake, I've seen tornados up close and personal, I've seen the pyramids in Egypt, I've even seen the Roman Coliseum, but I have never been snowed on while sitting in the jump seat with all the windows closed while going across 80 in Wyoming like I experienced today. You think they can perfect this door sealing soon?
