Got my loaded trailer, scaled out and on our way at 3am this morning. Made it to Indio and decided to shut it down at the loves. My reasoning was because my dispatch said it delivered on Monday. I mean come on, I do believe everything I read, why not a dispatch from the powers to be. My problem sometimes is I think too much. I thought maybe with a Monday delivery I would be dropping this load in either Wytheville or Richmond. I woke up at 9:30 and there was another message from dispatch, the load delivers Saturday at 5am. Oh well, that's what I get for believing everything I read. Just fueled and showered in quartzite, time to go trucking.

We can add Arkansas to the no plows/salt trucks list. A 2" snowstorm was actually 6". Boy what a mess. I finally made it to the Peelot at Galloway rd on 40 and threw the white flag up. I sent a message into dispatch that I was shutting the truck down because of safety issues with the weather then went to bed. I woke up at 7am and left. I was amazed at the lack of traffic on the road, then realized why, all the four wheelers and a few big trucks were spread out in the median strip.

Dispatch called back and has me set up to turn a driver in Greeneville Tn later this evening with a load going back to Colton for Monday morning. I was telling George earlier that I'm about over this and can't wait to get my happy arse to the house next week.

What's the pay for a trainer at Abilene? I know a few of y'all on here. I'll be coming over soon in a few months but has a buddy that wants to start now. I know you have to wait 90 days before you ask. He's been driving 8 years no tickets etc.

.26 for trainer, .20 for trainee, that's for all miles run by the truck. On average I run 11-14 thousand per 2 week pay period. I've been up all night so forgive me, you do the math, my brain just isn't working this morning. Oh, and we split $25 for each multiple p/u and drop.

Thats going to depend on the ability of the student. George didn't drive for the first 3 days he was on my truck, then it was baby steps when I finally gave him the wheel. The first pay period he was with me I actually lost money training. We ran as a super solo and I only turned 7900 miles. When I got more trust about his ability then we started running as a team and doing on average 11k per pay period. The problem with dispatch running us as a team is the students training gets stretched out. Right now I can't cut Grorge loose because he needs work on backing, which requires time that we don't have.

Thanks JohnBoy I was just wondering if I would at least make $500 a wk for those first couple months I drove class b over the road I shouldn't have a problem driving miles but I know its going to be a lot different in class a especially getting use to the backing part and maneuvering.
