I forgot how much I LOVE THIS PART OF THE COUNTRY!!!!!!!!

North and west Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona are truly God's country. Wish I could talk the wife into moving out this way.

    JohnBoy and chralb Thank this.

Since 2010 I've been looking for a new place to call home. I have a list but it's honestly hard to choose. So many beautiful places in our country. :)

Although I have no real love for winter anymore, Montana is high on that list.

I have not made it to Montana yet. When I was in the Boy Scouts back in the day, I was fortunate enough to be able to attend Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM. Heaven on earth. One to two weeks out with nothing but the clothes on your back, and whatever your group could evenly distribute within all the backpacks. Then, taken to a drop point and left, with a guide, for the remainder of time. Hiking up to 12 miles a day in all weather and terrain. Some camps had themes and activities for us to learn Frontier life, also had some running water and showers. Some were just areas that were recognized by search and rescue as areas to gather in case of the need to emergency evac. Purely primitive, but an area big enough to land a helicopter if needed.

Nothing like making snow cones with REAL snow on a mountain top in July.

Sitting in Colton waiting on traffic to calm down, for Southern California who knows what that means. Today was a once in a lifetime day. Can't go into detail, but suffice it to say, my head is duct taped so when it explodes, all the pieces will be easy to find.
