Home now for a few days. Gonna try to get the kids this weekend.

Was weird driving a four-wheeler again after spending a week driving a semi.

My sweet Cali run turned into a dud. Only made it to Tucumcari, NM where we swapped for a Memphis run. Took a reset in Tucumcari. Made it back to Memphis too early, so, stopped at AME-WM. Had the oil leak looked at. Not major, but an issue that only AME-R can address. Not looking forward to that fiasco. AJK gave me a BH run to Groveport. But I didn't have the hours. FM told me to run with it, and he'd find a driver to swap to get it delivered by midnight. In route, the wife had a dizzy spell and tripped and fell in a J's parking lot. Road rash and hurt her arm. Not sure how bad yet. Most likely just jammed it in the fall.

Never got a swap message. Tried to call my FM for any 411. Nothing. 5pm past. So, needless to say, here we sit in Groveport after making the delivery last night about 10pm. Had to burn my 45 to get it here.

Pain meds are in at my kids apartment. Asked last week for a run through N Texas to get them. Guess that is why I'm in Ohio.

My pain is from years of electrical work, firefighting and softball. My Rx pain medication is a combination with a stomach treatment so I can take the mass amount of pain meds I need a day. I've been off of them for over 2 weeks. They better get me thru N Texas soon. My abilities are diminishing quickly since 2 days ago.

 

Sorry to hear about the wife's fall. Ouch.
And of course they will get you through N TX.

Sounds like some good runs back and forth... They do add up... I dropped at BH, OH last night before midnight myself. I bet you were one of the trucks parked there. I moved to a little Rest Area down the road to wait for my new orders.

 

Felt like you were going faster and could see around the car with those little mirrors. Right?

It's a very strange feeling going from one to the other... LOL

Yeah. I felt like I was doing 70 and was doing 55. Windshield was a lot closer than I remembered, too.

Not yet, 'cause it's still at the yard. But when they said I could have a free Abilene baseball cap, I got a pink one to give to my daughter.

Betel nut helps with pain; I chew it all the time. Can get in on Ebay or Google for it.
