Its not something I would want to do, but if waiting for crews makes you late or miss other appointments what is the official company line?.

I've actually had to unload them by myself because their were no construction crew there, and the regular crew didn't even have a crowbar. So, I don't know what the policy is. I'd just go as, get the product off and to the customer. And a few months ago, I had to hand unload 3 pallets at a boars head because no one, but 1 lady was there. And she worked in the office. If I didn't unload, I'd would have to wait til the next day even know I was there at my scheduled appt time. I think the website says 99% no touch. Maybe I was in the 1%

I've unloaded coolers a few times. Kind of get it done and move on moments. I have also had to at one location because the only person there was very old and frail. No way I was going to let them unload.

I unloaded twice, and got politely chewed out about it. So, I'll do it again if needed. But, it will be just shy of a life or death situation.

Finally got my trailer. Headed out. Why? I dunno. I probably should have waited until tomorrow to pick up. Now, we're shutting down at a rest stop along I-71.

    Night all.

No... I was very recently reminded of that fact when I help the store manager unload two coolers... Sometimes the actual customer is not the store and between us as the driver and the store personnel unloading it, the actual customer may not be around. So, should something happen, the actual customer might be a bit upset.

And HP will pay us to return the coolers to them and reschedule if a crew is not available when we arrive.

Plus, dang those wood braces feel like they are glued and screwed to the oak deck when using an 18" crowbar to pull them up... LOL

It wasn't your fault... Contact the office via QC as soon as you know it's going to impact your schedule. CYA.
