Abilene stepped up, but Tim was the man. I had a sit down with him last week when I got back from the west coast and explained what was going on and what I needed. He told me family comes first and to take care of my wife, and that he would take care of it on his end. I also need to thank Sally, we worked it out where George wouldn't loose any time waiting on me. I have an issue going on with my wife's health that is my problem, not Georges. I'll take as much time as I need, he needed to continue on. It worked out just right because of Sally. Thanks!!!!

Agree with Johnboy. Great people make a great company. Sally' s call to me at 8am on a Wednesday week before Thanksgiving has changed my life (for the better). She's a great lady and Don Tucker in orientation is another great human being and instructor. Johnboy and Big Brin are great trainers. All this greatness at all levels spell a terrific company. Also shout out to Tim Bishop (fleet mgr for trainer/trainees), Russell Heaton (ops mgr), Kolen, Curtis and Keith Jones the owners. Bill Walsh, Scott Jenkins, Joan, the receptionist, Dennis Borkey (comptroller) and the maintenance guys made choosing Abilene a no brainer for me. Oops forgot Stacey in the office. Can't you tell I love it here?

    George

Just got a call from the load planner at work. I need to do a drop and hook in Dillon SC 1pm on Sunday with a load going to Upper Marlboro MD for 5am Monday. I feel good about leaving tomorrow afternoon, my wife is on the road to recovery and everything that needed to be addressed here at the house has been taken care of. Talk soon, be safe all, God Bless.

JohnBoy, you are one CLASS act! Hope all the issues are behind you now and you can go forward with your career. As a wannabe, I can only hope to have a trainer even 10% the trainer and person that you are!

John, sorry to hear about your aunt's passing, but I'm happy to hear that your wife's procedure was a success and that she is on the road to recovery.

They will. Worst case scenario is if you don't have any northeast experience or west coast experience they will send you out with a finisher for a week or two. Your hairy dog is a non issue, they allow pets.

Leave it to a chicken plant to totally screw up a perfectly beautiful day. I get here at Perdue to get my load. It was ready, took me all of 30 minutes to drop /hook and get checked out. I back track 5 miles to scale out my load. My air pressure gauge is reading 65lbs and my trailer tandem is slid all the way forward. I scale out and am grossing 81,600 with 35,960 on my drives and 34,060 on my trailer. Not a problem, I go back to Perdue, they call up whoever is on call, the dude shows up, and is now taking off 2 pallets in the nose of the trailer and is putting the load on the correct way, single, double, single. Makes me wonder if this was the first time Perdue loaded a chicken load.

Sounds like someone on the red eye shift coming up on time to punch out and just threw it in there.
