I'm empty, what a total fluster cluck. This whole load was a thing of beauty. I know it happens, God only knows I've had my share of them over the years, but this one is right up there. It took Perdue 5.5 hours to get my load legal. The last thing the oncall loader said to me was that it better be right this time because he wasn't coming back out, to which I replied do it my way this time and it will be right. He did, I was legal and I had 6.5 hours left on my clock to drive the 6 hours to the consignee. I drove 385 miles nonstop and got here at 2am, 2 hours late. I got a door at 4am, was empty at 6am and finally got my paperwork at 9am. Oh, the pallet they took off at the shipper? They forgot to change the bills so I was 42 cases of rotisserie chicken short. I called into Perdue with an OS&D claim but they already knew about the mistake. I wasn't to concerned, it was a SLC with a seal on the trailer, for all I cared about after this load I could have delivered 42k of air. At noon I can leave. I have a deadhead move back to Richmond.

Gee, John, I thought I was having fun, but that trumps me. I've been stuck running Gatorade loads. 3 to Indy and hopefully this final one up to mountain top. I told my fm that if I have to look at the wv turnpike anymore for the next week I'm going to be a real witch to deal with. I've been back and forth on it 6 times since the beginning of this pay period. Not a happy camper at all. And, no offense to the newbies, but I'm really irritated that I didn't get one of the longer down southwest loads headed out of there. But, it's all good. Stopped in toms brook for the night. Only have 2 hours left on my 70 and only pick up 7 tomorrow.

RebelChick I agree with you. No offense but the milkruns need to go to the untested. Especially since those Gatorade loads can be delivered 24 hrs befor OR after the sched del date with no penalty. Nice to know. Terry was stuckon BH swaps and is way down on his miles this payperiod. Full moon?

Fine, They know what they're doing there. I was 78k and only had to slide my trailer 3 holes.

I did a drop and hook at the Richmond yard Monday afternoon. The load delivered in Statesville Nc 9pm Monday night. I was done and out by 11pm. I had to reload in High Point Nc yesterday at 11am going to Hampton Va with a drop and hook. I got there at 5pm, dropped the loaded, picked up my new load right there going to Butler Pa where I'm at right now getting unloaded. I just got my reload info, I have to dead head to Harrisburg to pick up a load going to Richmond that is a drop and hook tonight. Let me tell you, these short loads add up as long as they keep you preplanned, plus running around up here adds another .10 per mile.

Craig & George, it was good to see you guys again today. Always nice to get to sit down with my fellow drivers for a bs session. Patrick was a hoot as well. Love his accent! Finally got my truck back at 3 pm. Headed to Kinzers in the wee hours and probably straight back. If I can do that twice, I will have almost made my miles for the pay period. Hopefully, Walter will come thru with a good load for me off my home time this time. Y'all be safe out there.

This is a warning to all of us who hook a preload at LL in Hampton. Their scales are WAY OFF. I have a VDOT over-gross ticket/fine to prove it. I also after driving back there (3hrs) had the load cut and reworked scaled the truck at Carneys Point and was 700lbs over on the trailer. Gross was good but their axle scales are off!!!! Complete flustercluck!!!!
