Home! Thank God. One more hour in the truck with a broken armrest and no telling what would have happened. I mean twice yesterday I almost fell out of the seat trying to use an armrest that wasn't there. Heard from Sally earlier, picking up a new trainee Tuesday afternoon that only needs a few weeks refresher. Be safe all. God bless.

JB with all the connections from your former business enterprises I'm sorta disappointed you haven't replaced that seat with some fancy Corinthian leather massage seat out of a Benz!! Let me know when you get one of those, I'll take one too as long as it has burled walnut trim and a neck massaging headrest!
Enjoy the pool and warm sunny weather! All the best for a speedy recovery with the Mrs.
Stay away from the pink duct tape unless you want to tug a trailer with a great big "PRIME" logo!!

That thought has crossed my mind, problem being I'm sure the company would want a matching set. I've elected not to go that route, I don't want to give a trainee the idea this is a cush, comfortable job that anyone could do. Flashback to 1980, first OTR truck I ever drove was a cabover mack. spring ride suspension with no power steering, the biggest upgrade in that truck was the seat, one button to adjust the height level with air, that's it. This seat in these Cascadias have about 15 buttons to perform every feature known to man to make sure ones arse is comfortable.

LOL! My first ride was a single axle, spring ride, 1984 International 9670 cabover complete with extra large doghouse and flat-top sleeper. I did have the added luxury of power steering though. It looked similar to this one, and was one rough riding son-of-a-gun...

Try a no air nothing seat in 1965 B MODEL MACK you crawled thru to the bunk by ways of the opening that had been the back window when it started life as a day cab , lucky if the windows stayed up in the winter and you got them to roll down in the summer.

My older brother started out in a pre Transtar IH COE, then got a Transtar II. 40 years later wouldn't buy anything but an International.
