And, in other news: day 36 out. Put in for home time for end of month to help mom-in-law through a medical procedure.

    Kimberly said no.

    Good night!

I don't understand why they would refuse home time. Especially after being out for so long.

    I don't either. And frankly, I don't care anymore.

Have you called in to talk to her about it or just put in the QC request? If not, call her. Maybe ask your FM about it too.

Long day today. Dropped that Toledo scrap steel in the yard last night around 7:30. Was promtly given a whopping 200 mile day cab run back to Chambersburg PA. Had to run it last night to make an 8am LUL. By some miracle I actually found ONE slot in the Greencastle TA at 11:30 9 miles from the con. Got up at 5am this morning.

Pulled in there at 7:15am and was MT by 8. Drove back to the TA and sat there for EIGHT hours only to be DH back to HP DC to drop the empty. On the way I get a load to hook there. 5 units going to Publix in Hollywood, FL for 8am Wednesday.

Just landed at the flying j in St. George SC and found 2 open slots with illegally parked trucks blocking things everywhere of course.

But after 22 hours, I'm parked in one and so ready to sleep. G'night all. YAWN ....

They can't say no especially if it's family/medical related. Me thinks some wires got crossed in communications. Put the request in again via QC and then call to confirm the importance.

Not that I had to because WS was simply great at getting me to my folks when needed, but I'd tell em the truck is going there like it or not. It can either make money on the way or just burn fuel. Their choice.

    FAMILY FIRST!!!! PERIOD!!!!

Day 50 for me and if they'll start running me right, I'll stay out for many months more. If not, I'll need a break from the frustration soon.

If they refused that, after being out that long..they would find they're truck parked back in they're yard. No questions asked. If they had a problem with that, then I'd say adios!!

Before we all go down that path, let's encourage another round of communications... As mentioned above, wires could have been crossed or other information did not get communicated. Who knows.

But we have many stories from within this thread as to how Abilene does step up when their drivers do "need" to be some place.

Send in a second request and include the reason why and follow up with Kimberly.

    Then update us too.

Kimberley is one of two people involved. Once she has it sent to her, then it goes over to Kendal who enters it into the system. Then you get the response from Kendal that it has been entered. Denied? I don't doubt you say it was, I'm thinking something got crossed up. After 36 days out, there is absolutely no reason to be denied, unless of course you're asking for hometime in Zimbabwe with the truck being used on a hunting expedition.

Well, the truck is green...sounds like a good assumption?? Blend in perfect..perfect hunting vehicle.
