    Begin rant/

Abilene won't DH me home from WM to Central Illinois. (350 miles) Instead, they want me to drive over to Wytheville. (575 miles) Grab a load there and head up to OH. Drop that, then head home.

Don't make sense to me. Back track that many hours and miles instead of just heading north.

I put my home time in two weeks ago so I could spend time with my wife and kids on the weekend. Not to be at home during the week when they are in school or working all day.

    /end of rant

So explain it to them just like that. If you don't get your way, start climbing the ladder. If that doesn't work, it's time to find another company.

I talked with my DM... "I'll see what we can do."

And as I'm typing this... message. Hook up to a dry van and head home.

See, there you go. That's all it takes sometimes. Enjoy your hometime.

Just parked my truck for home time. Waiting on the brains and looks called Lesli to come get me.

Interesting reading these last few days/weeks. It seems like some have no problem getting home time and others have to pull teeth or get an act of congress to get home. Why is that???

Again, must wait longer to reply... LOL

Glad that you opted to talk to someone and it all worked out. A little pushback makes it harder to sneak in "just one more load"... ;-)

    Enjoy your weekend.
