I wasn't booted. He just didn't want me sitting directly in front of the docks. Figured that was as good an excuse as any to go grab a shower.

Now I'm sitting in my truck in the parking lot of my own apartment complex waiting for a load.

 

Well, load is delayed. And the ONLY load to the deep south.

I sure wish they'they'd have told me that they don't run down my way much.

So, I now sit at the yard. All the way in the back, as there is no parking spaces available up front.

(Sigh)

 

I wouldn't hold my breath on detention at a main customer pickup.

If it was me I would off duty back to the yard and ask at the window for a call when the load is ready. Put it in a QC freeform also.

The yard isnt exactly fun, but at least you have full bathroom facilities.

 

I moved up front, but right outside the gate. There is plenty of HPh runs to be had. I don't get having to come to the yard and going to the window just to be told, "we're aware of the problem."

Yeah, that's more understandable. Can't beat waiting at home, still sucks having to wait in the truck though.

If only McChatster would hurry up with his communication improvement proposal, you could be sitting inside the house waiting on a "You've Got Mail" text instead.

Its all his fault really.

 

Ask them if you can get a call when it's ready. Thats all they can do really as they are as much at HP's mercy as you are.

I am about to call it a day and head inside. Gonna log out so I don't have to worry about them sending me a load assignment sometime within the next two hours (my 14 runs out at 9:00).

I mean, I don't think they would anyways, but best to be sure.
