You disagree with everything I say anyway so why would this be different? You can be negative all you want..seems this company is working for others. Have a good day!!

I knew coming in that all companies suck. Some just suck less. I've had many good folk offer their 2 cents to help me, from Drill Sargent to Momma Bear advice.
I've come to realize that I didn't get enough training, and I came in with expectations of what was to be. I also came in hoping to retire from here.
Sadly, I won't retire from here. Abilene and I are on different pages of different books. So, I'm going to do the honorable thing and resign. My DM says I'm doing fine and doesn't want to me to leave. And, I don't have any issues with him. Nor Bill, or Jo.
I came in with very high expectations from myself, too. I have fallen short in my own eyes. So, I must make a change.
Each company has their quirks. I saw just the other day that Werner had DM's that write up their drivers for not answering their phones while in SB or out at home time. Pure BS.
The next job on the horizon is a local job. Works early like I require, and comes highly recommended by my school instructors. Whom I not only trained under, I worked with as well.
Yes, I look for negatives. I am and always have been very mule headed. This will never change.
I know I fought back with some of you, and for that, I am sorry. I am my own worse enemy. Seeing shortcomings in myself and my abilities. I have the desire to be in the top 10 drivers at Abilene, but, I lack the ability. God's will be done.
I'm horrible at in person introductions. Not sure why. So when I get the suggestions to "go up the ladder", I naturally balk. I like to talk, but if there is nothing to talk about, I get nervous and confused.
The love/hate I have for trucking is the ability to be immersed in population and remain isolated at the same time.
So, thank you all for the constructive and destructive suggestions. Even though I may not have fully followed through, they didn't fall on deaf ears.
I can only hope that my negativity here helps newbies see the ups and downs of Abilene so they can make an informed decision. Logistics is a black and white industry. Life, however, is not so. Thus, I could change to Danny Herman, May, WEL, Swift, ect. and be perfectly happy. But, I'm needed at home, too. Three crips in a house makes chores difficult at best.
Halloween weekend, I hope to be able to blow off some steam and actually get some relaxing in. Time will only tell.
For my next job, I'm waiting on a trainer to become available. That could be tomorrow, it could be mid to late December. But, I'm looking forward to the change. And, I'll keep doing the best I can here until I get the call.
I really don't know what else to say to this that hasn't already been said. So, hitting the bunk for an early departure to grab an MT from Lincoln, Al, the to pick up the wife tomorrow.
Peace...
