If that 12-1400 per week is gross, then yes, that is doable here if you stay out and run whatever they give you. 36 cents per mile sounds really low, but it does add up with the amount of miles we can run. If I ever choose to leave Abilene, it won't be because I wasn't earning enough money.

Pretty sold on this company and am considering their regional position. I live in the Poconos of Pennsylvania and don't see a yard close by. What's the game plan for people like me who wanna get that 34 at home?
Oh, and what kind of set up do the Volvos have? Folding beds?
Also where in New York does Abilene load up and deliver to? Do they get goofy and go to Manhattan when they can or is strictly warehouse load?Last edited: Apr 8, 2017

I know the regional guys go to all five boroughs pretty routinely, but Brooklyn is, as I understand it, far and away the most common.
Volvos have bunk beds. Bottom bed converts to a table and bench seats. Top bed can be folded up.
I don't know that you can reliably count on getting a 34 at home. But you're certainly more likely to get it if you don't give dispatch or your DM a lot of stick and if you're willing to scratch their back from time to time. -
Man, I love this Pilot in Circleville, OH. Only 40 parking spaces, total, and every time I've rolled in here, no matter what time of day or night, there have always been a few parking spaces available. Worth the 15 minute extra drive to avoid trying to park at the Pilot in Chillicothe.
And they're building a new Love's right across the street. Even more parking! -
Ah ok. I've never even been to NYC lol. Moved to PA from TX 2 years ago. Still haven't gone. Think I'm still going to sign up for Northeast Regional(home on weekends). I'm from Houston, TX. NYC can't be all that bad.
As far as all five Boroughs, I thought trucks were prohibited in manhattan? -
Well I did apply once last year with Abilene, was accepted and did the drug testing and everything. Then I had to turn down because I had something come up and needed to go to the dentist. I got a letter in the mail saying they decided not to hire me. Now if I get a letter like that does that mean they won't hire me again? or do they have to send those out anyway?
