I remember during orientation Brian was saying that it was always better to run out your hours for 6 days then reset rather than do 8.5 hrs every day for 7 days. He actually wrote it out showing the math why it was more productive.

I just didn't get a chance to reset, I mean I tried to but was told we were too busy for me to sit for 34hrs.

Worse case scenario is that if it looks like another run of weeks on recap, I will just put in for a day of hometime at one of our yards every 6-7 days. I really don't want to do that as it means I won't have any built up hometime days for when I actually want to go home, but if my hand is forced that's the sacrifice I will have to make.

Seems to me that how "busy" we are depends on which guy is at the window doling loads out. I'm "guessing" it's just a matter of one being up to the task and one less so.

That is probably a good part of things. The yard this weekend was jammed with tractors and trailers. Now it's a ghost town for both. All those NE loads must've went out last night like clockwork.

Speaking of NE loads, I need some NE advice.

I have been assigned a load. Has to be in Windsor, CT tomorrow by noon.

Thing is, it will take me 8hr 20m of driving to get from the yard to the destination according to my GPS. And I can't legally roll out until 4:23am. So right there, independent of any other factors, I'm arriving at 12:43pm.

But then it looks like I'll probably need a 30-minute break in there. And I'm sure to be running into heinous traffic near both DC and New York. I expect to roll in around 2:00pm if I'm lucky.

I brought this to dispatch's attention, but he said to just roll with it and do my best. So what are my options here? Any suggestions for avoiding nasty traffic on that route and maybe getting there on time?

I'm noticing fewer returned waves, not going to stop me waving and flashing though.

Not many wave these days. It's a shame.

I had something happen yesterday that I have not happen before. Coming south on 95 in Richmond, I got flashed by several women in this car. Just bouncing up and down showing all they had for everyone to see. I think they were a little surprised when they saw I was a woman, but they kept on. Been flashed by lots of guys, but that was my first gal experience.
